Snake Plants and Zamia can grow in dark spaces or any condition and can go on without water for a week to 10 days. But it is always advisable to place them in such a way that they receive bright indirect light and water them once in 3 or 4 days.
The plant can survive in minimal light. Water it when the soil becomes dry.
